Seychelles will always be a very special place for Mr E and I, it was our first trip together, the place where Mr E asked me to be his girlfriend and the place where we ‘officially’ said “I do”.

**We actually got married in Paris but we had to legally get married beforehand so we did so just the two of us in the Seychelles**

Our family home on Eden Island, the man made island built off the main island Mahe, is where we stay when we arrive.  The island is so perfectly situated, only a 15 minute drive from the airport. The island is car free, so every house and apartment has its own golf buggy to get around on.  There is lots to do on the island, our house backs onto its own private beach and there are communal tennis courts, swimming pools and gym facilities.  All the houses and apartments have the option to buy their own boat mooring too.

At the centre of the island is the main shopping hub where you will find the Eden Bleu hotel as well as a selection of bars and restaurants, boutiques, convenience stores and coffee shops.  There really is so much going on and its a lovely place with a great atmosphere.

After a night or two at the house we usually take our boat to Praslin island, to Dhevatara Beach hotel, it is a small boutique hotel that we have had for many years now.  The hotel is quaint and very in keeping with the island way of life, colonial in decor and style with only ten rooms it is quiet and peaceful.  The manager, Rene, has worked at the hotel from the opening and is the life and soul of its day to day running.  The restaurant is quite renowned on the island both for its food but also my Father’s extensive wine cellar!

We can happily spend a week at the hotel and like to visit a few of the other hotels on the island to try out their restaurants.  Lemuria Golf Course at the Constance hotel on the island is thought of as one of the most beautiful courses in the world.

Overall we go to the Seychelles for the rest and recuperation, its not necessarily a ‘foodie’ haven and not a big ‘fashion style’ trip.  It suits us just fine for that close to home get away where we can just be us and have some downtime to recharge the batteries.

Hi, I’m Jen! I’m a woman on a mission to prove to others that are suffering with the disorder that there is life beyond it!

I’m not afraid to lift the lid on the disease and everything that happened to me - the good the bad and the ugly, and how hard I have worked, and still work, to achieve and create the life I have now. It is possible to beat Anorexia and the mental health issues that come with it, but it needs to be talked about.

I’m here to support anybody who has an eating disorder, or anybody who has a friend or family member going through it and wants to learn more.
